American Optometric Assoc / Vision USA
Information on common eye problems can be found using the search box or list on the left-hand side. "InfantSEE" program offers a one-time, no-cost exam of infants with possible eye problems during their first year. Vision USA provides free eye care to uninsured, low-income workers and their families. Applications accepted from October to January, with exams in March; apply online.
American Printing House for the Blind
Adapted educational and daily living products for those with low vision or blindness. Products for all ages. Includes evaluations of computer hardware and software products, text-to-speech products, digital recordings, etc.
Blind Children's Fund
Information and resources for parents to teach and nurture blind, visually-impaired, and multi-impaired children.
DB Link (Deaf-Blind)
Extensive information available on services for children who are deaf-blind. All research is free.
Eye Health
Covers common eye disorders in children and adults. The articles are reviewed for accuracy by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Foundation Fighting Blindness
Information about macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, Usher Syndrome, and other retinal degenerative diseases.

National Eye Institute
Information in English and Spanish on all types of eye disorders.
Optometrists Network
'Public' secton has extensive information on all types of vision problems, problems associated with ADHD, brain injuries and learning disabilities.
Prevent Blindness America
Explains the parts of the eye and what they do, has a section on children's vision problems, vision screening, vision learning center and low-sight products.
