Abledata 
Funded by the National Institute on Disbility & Rehabilitation Research.  The Abledata Product Database  has descriptions of thousands of assistive technology products.  Consumers are encouraged to submit reviews of products.  There are also fact sheets and consumer guide for purchasing products.

Abilitations
Specialized equipment for physical development through movement sold here. Has a discussion group for sharing ideas and inspirations, and therapy-related questions.  Also has information on setting up a sensory integration room.

Access First
Catalog of assistive technology and physical therapy products.

The ARC
Articles on all aspects of mental retardation including future planning, community living, general information on many syndromes, education, and a large section of links to other sites.  Spanish translations of some of the information.

Christopher & Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center  
Has an online library, health, rehabilitation, active living and quality of life information. Extensive coverage of topics such as bladder management, bowel care and sexual health.

Different Roads to Learning
An on-line catalog specializing in learning materials and playthings for children with autism.  Educational toys and materials that stimulate the skills leading to speech and language for challenged children ages 2 to 10.

DisabilityInfo.gov
A portal to government resources on disabilities including legal rights and benefits information.  Has employment, health, housing, community life and transportation sections.

Disability Resources.Org
A huge list of links to all kinds of disability information and disorders. Click on the "States" tab to get a list of support organizations by state.

Early Childhood Connections
Early Childhood Connections is Colorado's Infant and Toddler Initiative under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Early Childhood Connections is an interagency initiative. The Lead Agency for implementation is the Colorado Department of Human Services.

Information, support, encouragement and outreach for parents of children with disabilities.

Family Village
Includes informational resources on specific diagnoses for many disorders and syndromes, adaptive products and technology, adaptive recreational activities, education, worship, health issues, disability-related media and literature, lists of websites for each disorder and connections to mailing lists.

Lekoteck
Leading source for toys and play materials for disabled children.  They also sponsor workshops for families teaching learning through play.

MetLife Div. of Estate Planning for Special Kids
Helps families through the maze of legal and financial complexities surrounding planning for the future of a child with special needs.  They have information on preserving government benefits, meeting long term care needs, and structuring a plan to provide money when it's needed.

MossRehab Resource Net
Created and maintained by the Moss Rehab Hospital in Philadelphia, is site has information on accessible travel; fact sheets on many disabilities including spina bifida; assistive technology; ADA (American with Disabilities Act) links; newsgroups, listservs and news.  The site is searchable by words.  

National Center on Birth Defects & Developmental Disablities
Part of the Centers for Disease control and Prevention.  Has overview information about disorder.  Some information also in Spanish

National Information Center for Children & Youth with Disabilities 
Fact sheets on specific disabilities plus contact information for organizations.  Extensive coverage on educational issues.

Family Voices Colorado

Loacl arm of the national organization which works to improve access to quality healthcare systems which serve children with speical needs.  English and Spanish language information and support.  The national office has a links to all the state organizations.  Colorado office phone:  1-800-881-8277 or  303-691-9339 ext. 26

Parent to Parent of Colorado

Online support groups and local face-to-face groups for parents with special needs children.  English and Spanish language information and groups. Phone: 877-472-7201 (toll free).
