Family Use Areas
Family Hospitality Suite
Family-centered care is a core value at The Children's Hospital. To help reduce the stress of having a child in the hopital, we've created home-like spaces where family members can relax. The Family Hospitality Suite offers six (6) private suites with private bathrooms.
Located on the 2nd floor on the southeast side of the atrium, each suite has a private bathroom and shower, and can accomodate 2 adults comfortably. Families who stay in these 24/7 accessible rooms will have access to a shared kitchenette, locker room, laundry and two living areas with TV and internet access.
Families with children hospitalized in semi-private intensive care rooms can reserve these suites by calling the Volunteer Office at (720) 777-6887. Suites are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Private Sleep Rooms
Parents of patients in semi-private intensive care rooms may use one of 12 private sleeping rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ask your nurse about these private rooms with private baths.
Respite Areas and Gardens
It is important for your own health and well-being to take an occasional moment away for solitude, reflection, prayer or meditation. Our 6.6 acre park-like campus offer several places to get a breath of fresh air.
The peaceful Garden of Hope, complete with a walking maze, is located just outside the Chapel on the first floor. There is a Family Courtyard located outside the Cardiology Waiting Area on the 3rd floor. The outdoor eating area just outside The Fresh Market Place provides plenty of room for kids to run around.
In addition, there are quiet spaces at the end of every inpatient floor. Please feel free to step away, take a break and experience the beautiful views of our Colorado landscape.
The Chapel at The Children’s Hospital
The chapel at The Children’s Hospital is for people of every faith who seek spiritual shelter, a place of prayer, meditation, reflection, or simply a place for a few quiet moments. The chapel is a sanctuary where patients, families and visitors can find solace, peace, comfort. The Chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital, east of the Boettcher Atrium and is always open for families, patients, volunteers and staff.
