The Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
The Children’s Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a nationally recognized leader in the treatment of critically ill infants. Located on the 4th floor of the main hospital, our state-of-the-art NICU provides 60 critical care beds for infants up to 3 months of age. Our NICU is designated a Level IIIC NICU, the highest distinction granted by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Helping Kids Heal
Some patients will stay in private rooms while other will take advantage of our unique “pinwheels.” Instead of a typical NICU with several infants in one open area, our pinwheels create smaller, more private spaces for three infants. They provide easy access for caregivers to monitor your child at all times and keep germs at bay for a healthier environment.
