The Children's Hospital Boettcher Atrium

The stunning four story Boettcher Atrium welcomes you as you enter The Children's Hospital. It is a brightly colored, open space that serves as the hub of the hospital. From here you can reach the elevators, Fresh Market Place, Gift Shop, Patient Registration, Chapel, Volunteer Office, Concierge Desk and the Espresso and Gelato Bar. Many of the healing elements you'll find in the atrium, from art, color, light and nature, will greet you throughout the building.

Helping Kids Heal

Research has proven that color can have a positive impact on the healing process. The atrium features a "spirited" color palette comprised of bold colors such as turquoise, magenta and apple green to bring cheer and energy to the space. Because natural light also helps kids heal faster, the atrium features skylights and huge windows to let Denver's 300 days of sunshine in all year round. You'll find many references to nature in the glass walls, the art collection and even the cafeteria floor!
