Floors six-nine comprise the "patient tower" in The new Children's Hospital. Each L-shaped floor has space for 24 beds on each wing. There are 270 patient beds at The new Children's Hospital (232 private rooms and 38 semi-private critical care beds; 30 neonatal and eight pediatric).

The inpatient floors will be comprised of four medical teams to serve various patient diagnoses such as pulmonary disease (asthma, chronic ventilated patients, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and bronchiolitis); endocrine, gastrointestinal disease, eating disorders, Epidermolysis Bullosa and many other medical diseases.

In addition, the hospital will debut a unit within a unit, Pediatric Respiratory Care Unit (PRCU), on the eighth floor to accommodate the treatment and evaluation of pediatric patients with chronic lung disease.

The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders occupies the seventh floor, as well as rooms 701-724.
Family and Patient Amenities All patients have private rooms with excellent exterior views and private bathrooms. Parents have an extra-deep, custom sofa bed built for two, generous lockable storage, and a desk and data port. Families can also find respite in the family lounges on each floor with views of the Colorado natural landscape, wireless internet capability and access to laundry facilities and a kitchenette.

Staff also have enhanced amenities including a lounge, locker rooms, and sleep rooms on the unit.

A central elevator bank brings families to a warm and inviting area, where a Children's staff member guides families to their child's room.
