The Kidney Center provides care to children with any form of medical kidney disease or high blood pressure. This includes treating patients that require the kidney function "replacement treatments" of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis or Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy while hospitalized; and continued dialysis in the outpatient setting when kidney failure is irreversible. The Center also initiates preparation for kidney transplant when necessary, as well as continued care following a patient's transplant. Hours of Operation The Kidney Center is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. *The Kidney Center provides on-call coverage for after-hours medical needs, urgent questions or concerns. Family and Patient Amenities The large, modern chronic hemodialysis room has bright, open views into the Boettcher Atrium. Patient and families can wait in a spacious waiting area, and patients and families benefit from the dialysis patient nutrition area.
