The new 3,000 square-feet 'teen hot spot' at the new hospital is the Teen Lounge, also referred to as the Patricia Crown Family Teen Lounge. The space offers teens, as well as their teen siblings and friends, a chance to vary their from daily health regimens in the hospital and hang out in a space where teens can be teens. The space includes a pool table, basketball arcade, computers and video games, a music and reading room, theatre, telephone booth for private phone calls, a crafts and games area, kitchenette and storage space. The theatre design includes a portable stage and projection screen and moveable seats that can be rearranged to allow patients in hospital beds to be brought into the theatre. Medical gases support also is available in the Teen Center. Philanthropic donations played a major role in securing the state-of-the-art equipment available in the Teen Lounge.
