The Clinical and Research Library is about 1,457 square-feet on the second floor of the hospital, just to the east of Boettcher Atrium. It will be adjacent to the physician lounge. As currently is the case, all staff will have access to the medical library. The new library, which has an increased number of online journals and cyber-space capacity, offers spaces to read or study quietly, as well as common areas for social conversation and intellectual exchange. Physicians and residents have used the library as an informal meeting ground for years, discussing difficult cases or helping one another with assignments and research. The ability to provide customized, personal reference and research services will be greatly enhanced. The library is open Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
