The new campus includes clinic space in the Outpatient Pavilion (located east of the main hospital, connected on all four floors), East Pavilion and The Children's Hospital Dental Center. The outpatient clinics have undergone a major transformation in preparation for the move to the new hospital. Inspired by in-depth research, modifications to structural and design components were planned with a focus on enhancing the delivery of high-quality outpatient services to our patients and families.
Patient and Family Amenities Spacious waiting rooms with natural light and a variety of seating for up to 150 people will accommodate the growing number of patients who visit The Children's Hospital. There are 200 large exam rooms across the new campus compared to the current number of about 150, which will enhance service and increase efficiencies. Additionally, a dedicated research clinic space has been specially designed to be more efficient and organized, thus increasing Children's research capacity.
Electronic signage will be updated hourly to indicate the clinics and caregivers in each space. One separate, marked entrance to the Outpatient Pavilion building and check-out desks located at clinical exit areas will enable families to schedule future visits, arrange for diagnostic and ancillary testing, coordinate surgery scheduling, and much more, with ease. A centralized reception area with access to financial counseling provides coordinated services to patients and families. Semi-private office spaces for discussion and dedicated bilingual counseling will also be available.
The Children's Hospital Dental Clinic and Healthy Smiles Clinic are part of the ambulatory division, but are located in a separate building on campus, the former Aurora Public School building.
Additional outpatient services are provided in the main hospital including the Cardiac Clinic (third floor), the Oncology Clinic (seventh floor) and Nephrology in the Kidney Center (fourth floor) and the East Pavilion, including Child Development (fourth floor).
ART The wall that extends the length of the reception, punctuated by the entrances into the clinics, is a colorful mosaic of graphic imagery, glass and fabric wrapped wall panels. Each of the four floors is dedicated to a different animal, with photos and graphics celebrating their appearance, habitat, and delightful character.

Clinics will be closed Friday, Sept. 21 and Monday, Sept. 24, except Hematology/Oncology/BMT, Kidney Center, Cardiac Transplant, Dental, OT/PT, CDU and Psych.
