The Children's Hospital Outpatient Laboratory provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic and research tests to assist physicians with the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of patients. At Children's, the laboratory staff is experienced with pediatric patient and family interaction, and has been specifically trained in pediatric blood drawing, which means it is a less painful and less traumatic experience for children. In addition to blood draws, the laboratory offers sweat testing (for cystic fibrosis) and glucose tolerance tests (for diabetes), which does not require an appointment. (All other testing is done on a walk in basis.) The Outpatient Lab oratory is easily accessible on the first floor of the new hospital, adjacent to Boettcher Atrium.

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon and closed Sundays and major holidays. You can reach the laboratory via 24-hour fax, 720-777-7125 or phone 720-777-8175.
