Lisa Filipczak has enjoyed working as a Senior Physician Relations Representative at The Children’s Hospital since her hire in May 2005. Lisa started her professional path in healthcare in 1992 when she earned a degree in medical sociology from the University of Connecticut. Before coming to Children’s, Lisa worked for several years as a rural outreach coordinator for a seven-hospital system in Denver.

Lisa works closely with community providers and hospitals in northern metro Denver and northern Colorado, as well as Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska. Internally, she liaisons with Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Critical Care departments, Gastroenterology and Pulmonary Medicine.

Lisa has served on the board of directors of the Colorado Rural Health Center since 2004. Previously, she was a council member of the Colorado Rural Health Center and the Colorado Health and Hospital Association. Her volunteer work in the community includes four years of service to The Samaritan House, a homeless shelter in downtown Denver, and the Colorado Special Olympics.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, camping, yoga, traveling, snowboarding, and cheering on the UConn Huskies basketball teams.
