Forbes Medical Library
The Forbes Medical Library at The Children's Hospital has more than 250 current journal subscriptions, 8400 bound volumes, and 4000 books.
Collection features include:
- General and specialty pediatrics
- Pediatric and neonatal nursing
- Neonatology
- Genetics
- Trauma
- Child health and development
The Medical Library serves The Children's Hospital by providing and facilitating access to healthcare, educational and research information required by hospital staff, faculty and students. The library also serves the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine faculty and trainees, affiliated agencies, and affiliated pediatric professionals/students in the community. The library strives to meet the information needs of its professional community through the development and maintenance of relevant print and non-print collections.
Unaffiliated students and practitioners are welcome to use library resources within the library, but will not be eligible for all programs or services. For information about library services for families and the general public, please see the Family Health Library.
The library also serves other pediatric patients nationally by providing interlibrary loan services from its rich collection.
