Achieving Success Together

Mentoring is a process to guide and influence your life work. A mentor can be a role model, a sounding board and a coach. Nurses can expect their mentor to be an accomplished, motivated nurse with a high degree of professionalism who is willing to share career experiences. The Children's Hospital mentors will show genuine interest in professional growth and development and are willing to commit time and positive energy to the mentoring relationship.

At The Children's Hospital, the Division of Nursing mentors are volunteers who are professional nurses that are interested in fostering a collaborative and supportive relationship with a mentee.

Each nurse has the option of choosing their own mentor from our directory of nurse mentors. Each mentor at The Children's Hospital will commit to meet on a regular basis. The meetings can be at the hospital, at a coffee shop, or wherever it is convenient to meet on a regular basis. The dates and times are flexible to meet the needs of each participant and mentor.
