Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice at The Children's Hospital

Members of the Division of Nursing at The Children's Hospital are responsible for using the best evidence for decision-making including, but not limited to, current research, clinical expertise, and patient/family values and preferences.

Goals

  1. Modeling evidence-based practice.
  2. Advancing and ensuring the conduct of quality research activities with the Division of Nursing.
  3. Promoting the dissemination and utilization of nursing research findings.
  4. Fostering collaborative research, including interdisciplinary and multi-site studies

Research Activities

The Children's Hospital is nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric nursing research and has diverse opportunities for staff and students:

  • Research associated with graduate study

  • Dissemination of findings through local, national, and international conferences

  • Continuing education in research and evidence-based practice

Funding Opportunities

The Department of Nursing Research & Education, in collaboration with The Children's Hospital Research Institute, offers small grants to support nursing research activities.
