Accreditation

The Children's Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Children's Hospital takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity.

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Children's Hospital is has been awarded FULL ACCREDITATION on Dec. 1, 2006.  Our accreditation expires November 2010.

 

On September 5, 2006, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) released enhancements to its requirements and policies, in keeping with ACCME’s strategic imperative to “support a continuously improving and evolving ACCME accreditation system that enables physicians to enhance their professional strategies and performance-in-practice.” Continuing Medical Education in the United States took an important step forward with this release of ACCME’s Revised Model and Updated Criteria.  Learn more about Updated Accreditation Criteria

 

As an accredited provider of CME, The Children's Hospital can designate the following credit when requested:

  • AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™
  • American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)
  • AOA Category 2
  • Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
