Green Efforts for Healthy Kids

In an effort to promote the healthiest environment possible for kids, The Children’s Hospital is taking steps to become “green.” For example, Children’s has implemented many initiatives, including recycling programs and providing access to alternative transportation for staff.
“Going green improves more than just the environment; it improves children’s health,” said John Hudgens, MEPM, Sustainability Manager for Children’s. “Due to their size and developmental state, children are more sensitive to their nvironments. The more we improve our environment, the better the health outcomes for our patients will be.”
