Chief of Family Medicine at Children’s Elected to the Board of Directors of the AAFP

Jeffrey J. Cain, MD, FAAFP, Chief of Family Medicine at The Children’s Hospital and a family physician in Denver , has been elected to the board of directors of the American Academy of Family Physicians. The AAFP represents more than 93,000 physicians and medical students nationwide. Dr. Cain was elected to a three-year term by the AAFP’s governing body, the Congress of Delegates.

“I truly believe we are entering a time for a possibility of real change in our healthcare system,” Jeff Cain, MD, said. “I hope to help it evolve in a way that will appreciate and award primary care practitioners for the value we bring to our patients and the system.”

Dr. Cain has served as the Chief of Family Medicine at The Children’s Hospital since 2001, and practices family medicine at the AF Williams Family Medicine Center in Denver. Additionally, he is an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver. As an AAFP board member, he will advocate on behalf of family physicians and patients nationwide to inspire positive change in the U.S. healthcare system.
