Children’s Doc Turns Senator
from Practice Update, Spring 2006
Dr. Kathleen (Kiki) Traylor, a Children’s Hospital staff pediatrician, has been selected by the Colorado State Senate Vacancy Committee to fill the State Senate seat vacated by Senator Norma Anderson on January 2. Dr. Traylor was sworn in as the new State Senator representing Jefferson County on January 11, at the State Capitol. She will serve out the remainder of Senator Anderson’s term and run as the incumbent next November.
According to Dr. Traylor, her selection to the Colorado State Senate and her plans to maintain her seat next November, reflect her longstanding commitment to addressing healthcare and education issues of great importance to our children. Dr. Traylor plans to maintain her staff privileges at Children’s and to continue her work with our Clinical Information Systems and Foster Care Clinic.
