The Children's Hospital Celebrates One Year in New Facility
We are proud of our hospital!
This month marks the first anniversary of our move to a new state-of-the-art facility. While we celebrate a year of milestones and successes, we also commemorate 100 years of service to the children and families of Denver, the Rocky Mountain Region and nationwide.
Throughout the years, our hospital continues to see more, treat more and heal more kids than all other area hospitals combined. Statistics comparing the hospital’s first year in its new facility to the year prior document that we are providing pediatric care to more patients than at any time in our history.
In addition to the main campus, The Children’s Hospital also has a pediatric Network of Care that includes 13 locations across the Front Range.
In the year since The Children’s Hospital’s move, these Network of Care locations report a more than 50 percent increase in their total volume of patient traffic. That increase is due in part to The Children’s Hospital at Saint Joseph Hospital, which opened in September 2007, just prior to our move to the new facility. It was designed to maintain a presence in downtown Denver for central Denver patients.
The Children’s Hospital has been consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s top 10 children’s hospitals, and, in 2008, Colorado Biz Magazine awarded The Children’s Hospital the “Top Company Award” in healthcare.
