Letter: Children Win Big in State Budget

Jim Shmerling, president and CEO, Dr. Jim Shira, in his role as chair of the legislative committee of the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition, and Dr. Martha Middlemist, president of the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, co-authored a letter to the editor that ran in the Aurora Sentinel on April 30. The letter, “Children win big in state budget,” compliments state legislators for the Fiscal Year 2008-09 state budget or “Long Bill,” because it “easily reflects the single largest investment in the improvement of children’s health care in Colorado in over a decade.”
