Children’s and Partners Kick-off Community Program
The Children's Hospital, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, University of Colorado Hospital and the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority is partnering with Aurora Public Schools in support of the Aurora community.
On August 10, the partners hosted an ice cream social at General’s Park for 200 Montview and Paris Elementary School students and their families. The guests enjoyed sundaes from Liks ice cream shoppe.
The event topped off the month-long school supply donation drive that resulted in an estimated 35 boxes of supplies for each school.
The program’s partners are planning activities for the 2008-2009 school year, including an immunization fair to be held tentatively in September.
