Child Abuse Services at The Children's Hospital
The Children's Hospital is working to prevent and treat incidences of child abuse by joining forces with one of our partners, The Kempe Center, experts on child abuse. The Kempe Child Protection Team offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary consultation, assessment, treatment, and referral services for children and adolescents who may have been physically or sexually abused or neglected. Sensitive care is provided by dedicated clinicians to help the hospital and community identify, treat and console child abuse victims and their families. The Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect is an important partner of The Children’s Hospital and has been recognized as a world leader at the forefront in the fight against child abuse for over forty years.
