Department of
Otolaryngology,
with Devin and Dylan.

The Children’s Hospital Department of Otolaryngology provides comprehensive ear, nose and throat (ENT) care for the children of the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. Our experienced otolaryngologists see more than 10,000 patients each year.

In addition to regular pediatric ENT clinics, the faculty conducts interdisciplinary clinics for sinusitis, voice disorders, vascular malformations and hearing loss. Our otolaryngologists are also routinely involved in the hospital’s cleft lip and palate and craniofacial clinics, as well as the region’s only Pediatric Sleep Lab.

We provide a clinical outreach program through The Children’s Hospital Network of Care at facilities located throughout the Denver metro area, making access to ENT care more convenient for our patients and families. Otolaryngology services are offered on the main hospital campus, in Broomfield and Littleton, and at The Children’s Hospital at Parker Adventist Hospital and Care by The Children's Hospital at Lutheran in Wheat Ridge.

Conditions We Treat

ENT Clinics are held at The Children’s Hospital main campus and at Network of Care locations near you. Commonly treated problems include recurrent ear infections, tonsil and adenoid disease, breathing disorders, recurrent sinus infections, hearing loss, and trauma (such as nasal fracture).

All patients in the ENT Clinic are seen by a pediatric otolaryngologist, and in some cases by an audiologist, who will develop an individualized treatment plan for your child. A new patient evaluation might include films, laboratory work, procedures and an audiology evaluation. Some patients may be referred to one of the department’s specialty clinics:

Our Care Team

The Department of Otolaryngology care team includes skilled and experienced healthcare professionals working together to provide your child – and your family – with the most advanced ear, nose and throat care. We offer one of the largest teams of fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologists in the western United States. Our team consults with other specialties when necessary, including Audiology, Speech Pathology, Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy/Immunology, Pediatric Medicine and Surgery.

Pediatric Otolaryngologists

Pediatric Otolaryngologists are board-certified and specially trained medical doctors who have had at least four years of medical school, one year of surgical internship, possibly one additional year of residency training in general surgery, three to four additional years of residency training in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, and an additional training in a fellowship program at a children’s hospital. Pediatric otolaryngologists provide the most specialized ear, nose and throat care for children and adolescents.
