Diabetes, Endocrine and Growth Care at The Children's Hospital
The Children's Hospital is dedicated to caring for children and adolescents with acute and chronic endocrine disorders. For children who suffer from growth problems, or other conditions of the endocrine system, our dedicated team of doctors, nurses and other specialists offer help and hope to these patients and their families.
We provide state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and clinical management for children with conditions of the major endocrine glands, such as the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, gonads and endocrine pancreas. In addition to offering expert consultation, our experienced, multi-disciplinary staff provides specialty care for children and adolescents with a variety of complex medical problems and issues.
The Children's Hospital Endocrinology Department Provides:
- Board-certified pediatric endocrinologists
- Consultation, assessment and follow up
- Home care - education, medication delivery and inventory management
- Laboratory testing, evaluation and interpretation
- Medication management
- Multi-disciplinary care team comprised of physicians, dietician, clinical nurse specialists, and endocrine nurse

In Partnership with The Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes
The Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes is an independent institution that works in partnership with The Children's Hospital to diagnose and treat Type I diabetes in children and adolescents. The Barbara Davis Center is located adjacent to The Children's Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.
The Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes Includes:

- Counseling
- Diagnosis, treatment and follow up
- Certified diabetes educators in nutrition, nursing and family counseling
- Nurse specialists and practitioners
- 24-hour consultation
