Applying for a Job FAQ’s
Here are some Frequently Asked Question candidates may have when applying for a job at The Children's Hospital.
Q: Do you accept paper applications or resumes?
A: No, in order to be considered an applicant you must apply through our online application process.
Q: How long does it take to hear back from The Children's Hospital after I have successfully submitted my application?
A: Each position will vary depending on the hiring manager, number of applicants and urgency to fill the position. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks to hear from a hiring manager if you are selected for an interview.
Q: Will I hear from someone if I am not selected for the job I applied for?
A: No, due to the high volume of applications we are not able to respond to each individual. All applicants can check their status online by clicking on the "Applications-View Current Status" link in the My Career Tools box. If status is "Declined" you either did not meet the qualifications for the position or another applicant who best fit the position was selected.
Q: Do I need to fill out the Work History and Education section of the application if I have attached my resume?
A: Yes, you will still need to fill in the work history and education even though you have a resume.
Q: Can I make changes to my application after I have submitted it?
A: No, if you need to make changes to your application you will have to re-apply in order to update your application information. Or, should you get called for an interview you may bring your updated resume with you.
Q: Can I change my address, phone or email information?
A: Yes, you can update your personal information by logging in and clicking on the My Profile link in the My Career Tools box.
Q: What if my computer freezes and I have to close down the application will the system save my information?
A: No, only if you have clicked on the “Save without submitting” button throughout the application process will the system save the data you entered.
Q: What if the position I am looking for is not posted on the website?
A: You will need to wait for the position to be posted before you can apply. All applicants who apply without selecting a specific job are not considered as an applicant.
